Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

01Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what is and is not allowed when using any SOWTK Service. It applies to every customer, user, reseller and reseller's customer, and forms part of our Terms of Service. A Service, route or feature being technically available does not mean every use of it is allowed.

02Prohibited activities

You must not use, or allow anyone to use, the Services to:

  • break any law or regulation, or help anyone else to do so;
  • commit or facilitate fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation or identity theft;
  • send unsolicited bulk communications or marketing without required consent, or ignore opt-out and do-not-call rules (including the Telephone Preference Service);
  • harass, threaten, abuse or defraud any person;
  • send malware, launch attacks, scan, probe or break into any system or network, or disrupt any service;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • host, store or transmit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content or content inciting violence;
  • evade sanctions, export controls or lawful interception;
  • resell, share or provide access to the Services in breach of our Terms.

03Telecommunications and Call Minutes rules

For telecommunications and Call Minutes, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • presenting a caller ID (CLI) you do not own or are not authorised to use, or any false, misleading or spoofed CLI;
  • robocalls, nuisance or silent calls, and abusive automated dialling;
  • artificially inflated traffic, including traffic pumping, International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF), Wangiri and call-back fraud;
  • illegal SIM-box, gateway or bypass traffic, or any traffic that avoids lawful charges or regulation;
  • falsifying, altering or removing signalling, origin or routing information;
  • traffic from stolen, hacked or unauthorised accounts or equipment;
  • telemarketing, call-centre, high-volume or short-duration traffic without our prior written approval;
  • any traffic that is unlawful in the country where it originates, transits or terminates.

04Your responsibilities

You must:

  • keep credentials, equipment and systems secure, and act immediately on any sign of compromise;
  • monitor your traffic and usage for unusual activity;
  • keep evidence of your right to use each caller ID and of the consent of people you contact, and provide it to us on request;
  • make sure your users, resellers and customers comply with this AUP;
  • cooperate fully with any investigation, traceback or information request.

05How we enforce this policy

If we suspect a breach of this AUP, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • investigate and ask for information or evidence;
  • block numbers, destinations, ranges, routes, content or features;
  • limit, suspend or close any Service or Account;
  • withhold, reverse or recover charges and credits related to the breach;
  • report the matter to and share relevant information with carriers, suppliers, industry bodies, regulators and law enforcement.

Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will tell you the reason. Our action under this AUP does not limit any other right we have under our Terms or the law.

06Costs and liability

You are responsible for all use of the Services through your Account. You must pay all charges, carrier and supplier costs, fines, penalties and losses arising from any breach of this AUP, including those caused by fraudulent or unauthorised traffic, and we may deduct them from your balance or invoice them to you. You will indemnify us as set out in our Terms of Service.

07Reporting abuse

To report abuse, fraud, nuisance calls or a security issue involving our Services, contact our network operations centre at noc@sowtk.net, or support@sowtk.net. Please include the numbers, dates, times and any evidence you have. We investigate every report.
