About the role
You will build websites, portals and business systems for clients and for SOWTK. You will own features from design to release and maintenance, write clean and tested code, and help shape how we build software.
What you will do
- Build features end to end with TypeScript, React, Next.js and Node.js
- Design APIs and relational data models (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Write clean, typed and tested code (unit and end-to-end)
- Take part in code reviews and mentor other developers
- Keep performance, accessibility and security high
- Work with designers and clients to shape requirements
- Deploy through CI/CD and support what you build in production
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of commercial web development
- 5+ years with TypeScript, React and Node.js in production
- Production experience with Next.js and PostgreSQL
- A public GitHub profile or code samples showing production-quality work
- Projects built to OWASP ASVS and WCAG 2.2 AA
- Test-driven delivery with Vitest or Jest and Playwright
- English at CEFR C1 or above (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent)
Expert knowledge
- React rendering in depth: Server Components, Suspense, hydration and streaming
- Web performance: Core Web Vitals, caching layers, code splitting and bundle analysis
- PostgreSQL in depth: indexes, query plans, transactions and isolation levels
- Secure application design: authentication, sessions, CSRF and output encoding
Preferred qualifications
- Open-source contributions
- ERPNext or Frappe integration work
- Tailwind CSS design systems
- Multilingual sites, including Arabic
